Hint49 is a celebration and gift reminder app that helps you organize birthday contacts, sync calendars, discover gift suggestions, and find promoted products for annual celebrations.

You may use Hint49 for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Use the app in any way that breaches applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to, disrupt, or interfere with the app, its servers, or any systems connected to it.
  • Introduce viruses, malware, or other malicious code.
  • Scrape, copy, or republish app content without our written permission.
  • Use the app to send unsolicited or promotional communications.
  • Upload or store content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.

  • The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • You will not use the app to store information about individuals without a legitimate personal relationship.

You are solely responsible for the contact data you upload. We process this data on your behalf to provide the app's reminder and suggestion features.

5. CALENDAR SYNCHRONISATION

Hint49 may offer calendar synchronisation features that connect to third-party calendar services (such as Google Calendar). When you enable this feature:

  • You grant us permission to access and sync celebration dates with your calendar.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to sync your calendar data.
  • Calendar providers process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.
  • We are not responsible for any changes, deletions, or errors caused by calendar synchronisation.

6. GIFT SUGGESTIONS AND PROMOTED PRODUCTS

Hint49 provides gift suggestions and may display promoted products from partner brands. These suggestions are generated algorithmically and are provided for inspiration only. We do not guarantee:

  • The availability, quality, or suitability of any suggested or promoted product.
  • The accuracy of pricing or product information displayed in the app.
  • That any suggested gift will be appropriate for your contact.

When you purchase a product through a promoted link, your purchase is governed by the terms and conditions of the partner or retailer, not Hint49. We are not responsible for the fulfilment, quality, or returns of products purchased from third-party partners.

7. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS

With your consent, Hint49 may send push notifications to your device. These may include:

  • Birthday and celebration reminders
  • Gift recommendation alerts
  • Feature updates and announcements

You can manage or disable push notifications at any time through your device settings or within the app.

8. PURCHASES THROUGH THE APP

If you purchase gifts or products through Hint49:

  • Payments are processed securely by our payment partners (including Stripe).
  • We do not store your card details.
  • Order fulfilment, delivery, and returns are handled by the relevant partner or supplier.
  • Prices are shown at the point of purchase and may change without notice.
  • We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where an item is unavailable, a pricing error is identified, or an order appears fraudulent.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method.

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content in Hint49 — including designs, graphics, logos, text, app interface, and software — is owned by or licensed to Hint49 / MINT49 LTD and is protected by UK and international intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit any part of the app or its content without our prior written consent.

10. USER CONTENT

If you submit reviews, feedback, or other content to Hint49, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and reproduce that content in connection with our business. You confirm that your content is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe the rights of any third party.

We may remove or edit user content at our discretion.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the app.
  • Any missed reminders, incorrect suggestions, or failure of notifications.
  • Any purchases made through third-party partners or promoted products.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with a product purchased through the app shall not exceed the price you paid for that product.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under UK law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
